Today thousands of houses, administrative and commercial buildings, schools , churches and supermarkets throughout the world are Passivhaus certified. The results are amazing and the experiences have been validating living comfort and really reducing energy consumption by 10 times lower than conventional buildings.

Talk about passive house or building passive means to speak of construction and housing that must be kept in mind not only the needs of those who shall dwell, but also those of the planet in which we all live.
Discuss how much our way of living and producing, today, is dramatically impacting on global warming and on the conditions of the Earth is not enough. We need to do something more. Opt for the construction or renovation of a Passivhaus is a choice that pays off in many aspects: the economic and the ethical, in the first place; but also the one related to the comfort of life.
A passive house is a house that cancels or reduces to a minimum the dispersion of heat and that recovers thermal energy from the surrounding environment (sun, air, ...) and between the same walls of the home.
Living Comfort, energy savings and attention to the environment: these are the priorities for you, which, today, are you thinking about building a new home or renovation of an house pre-existing.
Passive house is the answer to all of your questions and your doubts.
We IGPassivhaus Sicily we are the point of reference in the island to anyone in need of information and advice for new construction and renovations.
From the constructive model of 1988, elaborated by the German Feist and Swedish Adamson, the first Passivhaus built in Darmstadt since 1990, the foundation of the PHI Passivhaus Institut, have been realized up to today, thousands of passive houses around the world.
IGPassivhaus Sicily, maintains and disseminates the protocol PHPP in Sicily.
The Passivhaus Institut is a research center founded in the Nineties in Germany. Here was developed the protocol that today, which is continuously updated according to the new discoveries in terms of materials and manufacturing technologies, enables the design of passive buildings.
High performance thermal, a high living comfort, eliminating waste heat, reduction of the costs of management are some of the elements that characterize the Passivhaus.
For every new construction, but also for every renovation of the building it is possible to apply the protocol Passivhaus.
The certification is issued in Italy by the Passivhaus Institut, in the face of strict control, and applications of the design criteria and construction with the support of qualified technicians and authorised to PHI and guarantees the respect of high standards.
In nearly thirty years of existence, the PHI has issued thousands of certifications all over the world, spreading a constructive model in complete harmony with the environment and with the needs of the people living in the passive house.
