"Passivhaus" is a passive house, but construction criteria is entrusted to a design "concept" quantitative . It had been developing in Germany by the Research Institute PHI Passivhaus Institut since 1988.
Today thousands of houses, administrative and commercial buildings, schools , churches and supermarkets throughout the world are Passivhaus certified. The results are amazing and the experiences have been validating living comfort and really reducing energy consumption by 10 times lower than conventional buildings.
Please get in touch to know what you need to do to make buildings or renovations with the protocol of Certification of Passivhaus within your administration.

A Passivhaus is a reality in design, construction, and housing, which reduces to a minimum the impact on the environment and maximizes the benefits for the tenants and users of the building.
The model Passivhaus, in fact, can be applied both to private homes, to public buildings, such as offices, schools, theatres, gyms, ...
The idea is very simple and responds to the needs that the man in front of a house project arises from a long time, now:
· How to use in the way most profitable to the heat that the sun generates every day?
· How to avoid that the heat produced by human activities inside the building is unnecessarily dispersed?
· How to cool the house during the warmer months?
Here, then, is that next to the installation of more traditional solar panels and photovoltaic for water heating and for the production of electric energy, engineers, physicists, and architects, appropriately informed and trained, they can design and construct buildings able to:
· Recover the heat produced inside the home by appliances, for example, and heat, as well, the environments;
· The system cool enough with the interior, thanks to the techniques of natural ventilation and heat storage in the mass of the walls, making it, thus, completely superfluous to the use of air conditioners.
But that's not all, since a passive house requires up to 90% less energy than a traditional home.

It was back in 1988, when Wolfgang Feist and Bo Adamson devised the protocol of the passive house and it was in 1990, when in the German town of Darmstadt were completed the very first passive houses.
After almost thirty years, today, the concept has been applied in thousands of private homes and public buildings all over the world.
But Feist has never ceased to study and do research, to find ever more innovative solutions and technology. For this reason, the physical and the German engineer and the lead of the PHI, the Passiv House Institut, an independent research institute, based in Darmstadt, where they worked dozens of scientists and researchers of different origins of the discipline.
The role of the PHI is recognized worldwide in the field of the development of a Higher Energy Efficiency.
iPHA is the International Association Passive House that connects the global network on knowledge about Passivhaus and promotes the standard of passive houses worldwide.
Design and build a Passivhaus does it mean to follow a specific protocol, that meets specific criteria that allow to reach the maximum energy efficiency of a building or a house.
The PHI it makes available to everyone a wealth of information for those who want to approach the world of passive house: a rich database, which is continuously updated, where you can read and refer to articles, projects, figures and everything that revolves around this concept and its applications.
Everything that you find on Passipedia is processed by professionals, physicists and architects and represents a source of competent and always current information and training, essential for you that you are interested in reducing the environmental impact and the energy consumption of your home and increase the living comfort.
The site Passipedia, available in German and English, is available in two formats:
· Section open to all boaters, with information of general character;
· Section open to members only, where you are treated to the details of the design, construction and certification Enerphit passive house new construction and those subject to restructuring.
